Ian "IGL00"

Mr Pitt. He asked me to call him "Michael" when I saw him for my Birthday in 2014. My answer was, "yes I will Mr Pitt", to which he chuckled with a smile that had lost none of its cheekiness since I saw it for the first time in 1975 when he gave my nickname. Mr Pitt played a critical role through a turbulent period in my childhood. Giving me confidence and direction when I lacked both. Once again, when facing a turbulent period in 2014, he was there again. Of all the things I could have done on my birthday that year, the one thing I wanted more than anything was to see Mr Pitt. Once again, he listened selflessly and put me straight. How many more pupils did he save? How many lives did he enrich? Mr. Pitt. He asked me to call him "Michael" when I saw him for my Birthday in 2014. My answer was, "yes, sure I will Mr. Pitt", to which he chuckled with the same cheekiness I first saw in 1975 when he gave my nickname. Mr. Pitt played a critical role through a turbulent period in my childhood. Giving me confidence and direction when I lacked both. Once again, when facing uncertainty in 2014, he was there. Of all the things I could have done on my birthday that year, the one thing I wanted more than anything was to see Mr. Pitt. Again, he listened selflessly and put me straight. How many pupils did Mr. Pitt save? How many lives did Mr. Pitt enrich? Well in that many years, and with that relentless commitment to kindness, I can only assume that all the good and grace he's given us will ripple on for centuries through all those he touched. R.I.P Mr. Pitt Ian
